I have a hard time posting journal type entries in my blog. I just use it for reviews or articles, stories or adventures, but it seems easier to just talk when I post comments.
Ususally reading blogs gets me all jazzed up to right my blog or go game. My problem is I can game or I can blog. I don't have creative energy to do both (hence large blocks of non-blogging).
Reading, I don't have enough time in the day to keep up with 1/2 the cool stuff going on.
Anyway, basically, I don't turn on Blogger, emails or the phone, until my writing session is done.
I need that quiet time in my head, before I can turn on all that other stuff.
Or, I'll do a quick morning post, shut down the computer and then go hide at my desk for the duration of that day's session.
I don't know how Bloggers who blog for promotion do it. I would not want Blogging to be part of my job. Gotta be fun. You know, like do videos of going to game store but then not actually going in.
Writing doesn't come easily to me and I really have to push myself to do it. Some people seem to be able to crank out entire books in their sleep, and I agonize over every page. :)
Trying to write more frequently on my blog is my 'homework' to try and improve this.

I feel that way about commenting.
Sometimes I wonder whether reading the blogs is much like zapping on the TV—a way of procrastination, preventing me from getting things done. :(
@Alex - I can more than relate.
It can become a challenge to do both a lot of times.

Seriously. Sometimes I won't allow myself to read any blogs until I post something up of my own - it helps me get it together.
Just posted a comment and Blogger ate it.
Bad Blogger. Bad Blogger.

Fun stuff like that.
