Carcosa and Isle of the Unknown

Two items I never expected to see on the shelves of The Sentry Box, my friendly local gaming store (and here's a video about The Sentry Box).

Great vid! This may take the no. 1 spot from Compleat Strategist, just due to sheer size.

I'm not sure that the video adequately captures just how big The Sentry Box is...

Agreed. You barely get to see the bookroom at all and you only get a glimpse of the wargame room. Honestly, I can't understand how a city the size of Calgary can support a game store of this size.

Man, that place is HUGE. And two levels!

Source Comics & Games in St. Paul (my FLGS) just moved into a 10,000 sq. ft. monster of a store. They had to order more game tables and the gaming area is still half empty!

Joe, are you referring to the Compleat Strategist in Manhattan? Went last year, really nice guys.

Thanks for posting the link to the video. I see the guys from The Source every year at the GAMA trade show so I heard they were moving. We have 13,000 sq.ft. so are still bigger than them. :)

My next goal is to get Will Wheaton to either visit us or watch and comment on the video (since he is a huge gamer and will be in town this weekend). I think he'd like us. If anybody knows him, please pass on the info.

The Rick Mercer Show would also be fun to be on.

The secret to surviving is owning our building (my retirement fund). The Source is still a little smaller than us as we have 13,000 sq.ft. When I chatted with them at the GAMA show in March, they mentioned that they were expanding and I figured I'd have to change the wording on my cards to get rid of "World's Largest Game Store".

Our next goal is to get Will Wheaton (who is a huge gamer) to watch and comment on his G+/FB posts about the video. He'll be in town this weekend so if you know him, try get him to visit us. I'll even open up the place after hours for him to shop if he wants to.

Rick Mercer is another person, I'll love to have visit as I think he would like us too.
