Settling Into The New House

I intended to publish this post several weeks ago, but things have been extraordinarily busy.  There's no particular value in subjecting you to the mundane details behind the posting delay, and we have not yet fully unpacked, but let me share a few pictures of the new house, now that we have finally moved from Calgary to Edmonton (well, to St. Albert, more precisely).

The front entrance, as seen from the second floor

The back deck and back yard
The family room, with windows facing the back yard
The main floor sitting room, at the front of the house
The dining room, as seen from the sitting room
The kitchen, with a very 80's dropped ceiling

The second floor sitting room and library (Master bedroom to the left)
The master bedroom...
...and Master bathroom
One of two second floor bedrooms
Part of the basement media room, needs some built-in bookshelves
Basement bedroom

Everyone's settling in nicely, the kids are enjoying their new schools, making friends, and looking forward to Halloween.  Now comes the hard part, making gamers of our neighbors!

Congrats on the move. Good to hear from you again, and I'm looking forward to reading more gaming posts now that you're settled in.

Wow! Think of the naval battles you can have in that tub.

Congratulations on your new house, Aaron! Looking for a cozy house like this needs extra effort and a great list. Did you work with a broker? If so, I commend him/her for doing a good job presenting you this house. Enjoy your new house! :)

I didn't see a game room or a dedicated Hirst Arts casting work-shop. ;)

It must be nice to finally be settled in. I hate and dread moving.

Those are the other half of the basement and the garage, respectively!

It's nice to have only one lawn to mow, instead of three (I also had a rental in Edmonton while we were trying to find a permanent place).

Nice house! Welcome to Edmonton, I've been living here for a year and a half now and it's all good. More of us OSR gamers in Edmonton now. :)

Thanks. I'm liking Edmonton, although I'm only seeing the northwest corner at the moment, as thinks have been too busy for a proper explore. I have checked out a gaming club on stony plain road, but it was mostly new school gamers.

Now where are the photos of your array of snow shovels/blowers? ;)
