The home we purchased in Pineview, St. Albert (just outside of Edmonton). I can't see myself changing the name of this Blog. But A Paladin In Pineview is much more alliterative that the current title.
We have been in the midst of some rather dramatic changes over the last 6 months. Two of those have been a promotion and a move to another city. We have finally found a home we like just outside of Edmonton, Alberta (200 miles north of Calgary) and are putting the final touches on the sale of our current home and making plans for the move.
During that time, I have been working two jobs, my current one and new one. It appears that a candidate has been found for my current job, so i'm finally free to focus on the new one, and finish the move.
Until right now, I had always slipped a definite article in front of Citadel in your blog title without even realizing it. Citadel, then, is a place and not just, you know, a citadel? Good to know.
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies. Moving is always stressful; even more so when you have a heavy workload. I hope you get it over with and settled soon.
ReplyDeleteSteele Paladin perhaps?
ReplyDelete[That's assuming Aaron E. Steele is your real name and not your porn name]
[Although I suppose that doesn't really matter, does it?}
Timrod: It's a common misunderstanding. Yes, I currently live in a community in Calgary, called Citadel. So the grammar is correct.
ReplyDeleteSAROE: I was thinking a new blog called St. Aaron of St. Albert. My porn name should be Iron Steele.
ReplyDeleteSean: Thanks for your support. Mostly, I want the workload to lighten so I can get back to my second avocation which has been sorely neglected of late.
ReplyDeleteSo you have been working two jobs, Amazing. I would have keeled over first week.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the new one, and I hope you have a smooth time moving to Edmonton.
Arise, Gallant Sir Aaron, Paladin of St. Albert, Keeper of Appendix N, Protector of Pineview, Defender of Edmonton's Northern Frontier, Warder of the Wind Chill, and Inventor of the Heated Hauberk...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on thee promotion and best wishes for a breakage-free move and no radical down-sizing of the gaming collection!
Andreas: with 4.4% unemployment in Alberta, everyone who wants a job has a job (and sometimes two). The challenge has been finding someone who fits with our client-centered culture, but it looks like we finally had some success there.
ReplyDeleteThe two job thing has been stressful, and the blog has suffered. But the paying clients come first.
Thanks for the encouragement and support!
Biopunk: thanks for the good chuckle! Yes, breakage-free moves are good, the gaming collection faces no down-sizing risks either.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe move!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim! Hopefully i'm back online is a more fulsome way by September.
ReplyDeleteWell, the "el" in Citadel sounds lik the "el" in Hell, so that worked. But, you have alliteration at work in A Paladin in Pineview. So, either way there's a little something that works...
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
