I'm sure you can find SL and more on the cheap at your local used book store. I also believe SK used Lovecraft as a major source of inspiration (in addition to Stoker's Dracula) for SL and "Jerusalem's Lot" the first short story in Night Shift. Jerusalem's Lot, in particular, would make a good horror adventure.Digital Orchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276516390269689741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4891509519427970698.post-45455102173133624162011-07-14T10:07:02.098-06:002011-07-14T10:07:02.098-06:00The books are usually better, thanks for the addit...The books are usually better, thanks for the additional recommendations!Aaron E. Also, yeah, The Shining and The Stand are seminal. I think the old boy's collections are his real power though--Night Shift and Skeleton Crew have a ton of monstery goodness I co-opted for campaigns back in ye day.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4891509519427970698.post-18478498845186534832011-07-13T10:38:55.056-06:002011-07-13T10:38:55.056-06:00Will have to visit the used bookstore this weekend...Will have to visit the used bookstore this weekend!Aaron E. I think King's three or four best novels include 'Salem's Lot, The Shining, The Stand, and It. Maybe Cujo and Pet Semetaryare runners-up.Carter Soleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01286436801953647693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4891509519427970698.post-10150066976707300692011-07-13T07:56:32.603-06:002011-07-13T07:56:32.603-06:00I'm not a big fan of king but I liked IT.
