The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

I hate that 3d text over the map, but the overall presentation looks as good as you'd expect - similar in tone to the LoTR films, of course. And I admire their restraint in not showing the dragon.

Sure, I'll take the kids. The ring's an awkward thing to handle this way around - how to cram the genie back into the bottle. I don't know how I would do it, if it were my film.

This looks and feels more like it is a prequel to the Lord of the Rings movies than an adaptation of The Hobbit; hence the change in title from 'There and Back Again,' to 'An Unexpected Journey.'

The Dwarves look goofy to me; Thorin looks more like a Klingon than a Dwarf, and the rest look like weird muppets or something.

I don't have a whole lot of hope for this, but I know I'll see it anyway; I can't help myself.

P.S. Word Verification is 'foxyme.' And who could argue?
