My Friendly Local Gaming Store

I've been playing with the video features of my new iPod touch, and decided i'd do several video blogs about my friendly local gaming store, The Sentry Box.

I apologize in advance for how boring these first two videos are, but it was a bit of a test of my video and editing abilities (this is the first time I have shot and edited video).

Hopefully the next few videos, that follow, will have a little more substance. These first two are of me driving to The Sentry Box and walking around the immediate vicinity of the building.

If there are any topics you would like me to cover in video blogging about my FLGS, please let me know.

Cool.
I was there yesterday until they kicked me out so they could close. It saved me some money though as I was debating buying some stuff and decided to leave without it.

Alright! Nice to see another OSR blogger giving the FLGS video visit a try. One virtual Molsen, Labatts, or Genny Cream heading your way. Screw Moosehead though! ;)

The Sentry Box really is a treasure. I lived in Montreal for a few years and really got spoiled by another great Canadian gaming store, the reknowned Valet d'Coeur. But nothing prepared me for the sheer awesomeness of the Box!

That looks so much better than anything in Toronto or Milwaukee! I'm envious.

I was born in Calgary, but haven't been back in years. I think I'll have to visit just to go to the Sentry Box.

My favorite part is after watching you drive to the Sentry Box and park, you then walk a couple of blocks down and we get to watch you walk to the game store. I am looking forward to see the inside of the store.

My favorite part was when you passed Nick's Pizza. I remembered you mentioning them before. And to yank your chains a little, I too found the two block walk funny. Good stuff, Paladin. Thanks for sharing.

Happy Eating :-)

I filmed the footage yesterday at about 3:30 pm. I was checking out the old-school shelves at the back, and came across at least a dozen T&T solo modules. Almost bought them. I put them back, as i've been spending like a drunken sailor lately!

Your video blogs inspired me. Thanks for the inspiration! [Downs virtual beer]

If you do end up in Calgary, Nick's Pizza is my treat.

LOL! Yes, that was a bit much! I havn't shot the interior stuff yet, but it has been green-lit by Gord, the store owner. Just need to make the necessary arrangements so that I have sign-off from anyone who happens to be in the store while i'm filming.

Perhaps I should do a video blog about Nick's? :D

We really did enjoy it. We're just jacking your wires. But ... I wouldn't mind seeing Nick's pizza.

Very fun blog. Sometimes I think about doing a cooking one but I don't have the nerve yet.

I'll be in the Sentry Box this coming weekend as I have a few things that need buying. Maybe I'll see you there!

I'd be happy to do a post on Nick's Pizza... maybe Nick will sit down and share a pizza and a couple of stories with us!

That would be cool if we could arrange for that!

Wow, the spring images from Canada made me surprisingly nostalgic. The US has some good points but I definitely miss the North.

Great gaming stores are just an added bonus.

If you love winter, there are few places better. As for gaming stores, Sentry Box is among the best.
